our Teachers

We have some of Perth’s most senior teachers, and over 150 years of combined teaching experience.

CAT

CAT

Studio Director Cathrina (Cat) has been a student at the studio since July 1999 and a teacher since 2019, after completing her training at the studio. Now the owner as of 2024, she brings new energy and a fresh perspective. As both owner and teacher, Cat loves teaching and welcomes new students to experience her classes. In her Hatha Yoga sessions, you can expect variety—each class is unique, influenced by the energy of the room, the season, and other factors. Cat enjoys the creative aspects of sequencing and creating movement; however, her greatest interest is in meditation. She often wishes to keep her students sitting in silence for the entire class! Under her new management, Cat enjoys meeting students, making everyone feel happy, and creating a welcoming space for all to explore yoga.

Her dedication to continuous learning led her to study Sanskrit, Patanjali’s Yoga Sūtra-s, and Vedic Chanting. In her classes, Steph focuses on classical yogāsana, emphasising in alignment and therapeutic practices. She skilfully breaks down asanas, addressing modern lifestyle issues like prolonged sitting and its effects on the body. Her slower-paced, deeply engaging classes encourage students to develop self-understanding and resilience. Outside the studio, Steph enjoys nature, crime TV series, and quality time with her family.
